For those of you who know me personally you will not be surprised by this feature, as I have always had a love for Paris. This shop, owned by Nichole Robertson, immerses you in the city and will make you want to pack your bags and head for the airport.
Here’s a little about Nichole: I’m a writer, photographer, and author of The Paris Journal, Paris in Love and Paris in Color (a Chronicle Books bestseller). I’m also the Co-founder and Creative Director of Obvious State–a New York-based design studio inspired by literature and language.
The Paris Print Shop contains fine art prints of my photography, all of which are printed in-house in our studio, using museum-quality, archival, 100% cotton paper. You can also purchase signed copies of my books and Paris paper goods.
I’m consistently drawn to the way color contrasts Paris’ neutral facades, the way layers of paint erode into a form of abstract art, and to the details that are often overshadowed by the Eiffel Tower and other iconic landmarks.
From the gorgeous architectural details to the graffiti, from the shops to the baguettes, from the macaroons to the flowers, and even some peaks at our favorite landmark, these colorful displays of Paris will have you falling in love. (If you weren’t already before.)
By far my favorite aspect of this shop is that it doesn’t focus on the landmarks that seem to be the only view we get. I’ve always wanted to visit Paris, and I will someday, but until then I can lust over the city I love from afar with her shop.
